I remember saying I would always be honest on my blog and share my heart. I’ve been really quiet for a few weeks contemplating of how honest I would be… or not and if ever!!

How many of us are really, utterly and completely honest? With everything we go through and do we share with those who cross your path? Even up to the point that it hurts? Are you afraid of the messes in your life? Are you afraid of sharing them? So much to think about, right? Well? And do we share those messes? Isaiah 61:3 I believe that God lets us go through messes so we are able to help others in exactly the same situations. I do not have all the answers but I do know this… That for everything there is a time… Ecclesiastes 3:1

I’m sure many of you have seen the movie Fireproof. It’s based on a story and not real life. And in real life? Would it be possible to actually achieve the goal of loving your spouse even if they didn’t deserve it?

In my life and marriage I’ve had many ups and downs. To be honest, more downs than ups. When I was young I got married for the wrong reasons and somehow thought I’d be able to change him. But he hasn’t. Not in the way I’ve wanted him to. And I’m sure in his head he had the same notion than I did. We both changed… But not in the way we thought.

Don’t get me wrong. He is a good man and would probably do anything to make me Happy. But there is a problem with that. You see, he has tried serving God to make me happy and not because he wants a relationship with God. And that’s probably why we just can’t seem to get past the mess I feel were in.

The day I changed is when I gave it all to God. I realised that what I wanted when I was younger, now just didn’t mean so much to me anymore. I want a godly man who serves God with all his heart. Who leads our family by example. Who honors and treats me like his beloved bride. Someone I can share my love for God with. Spend time with. Be as important to him as he is to me.

And I don’t have that. With all my heart I want that, I want to be loved. I want my husband to pray for and with me, but in our marriage I’m not even close to that dream. And that is where I’ve been stuck since I don’t know when.

I have so many questions that need answering. Would I keep pursuing this man whom I have been with for most my life, or would I give up on love?

Someone (who had a big impact in my life) once said to me “it’s not about what he did, but about how you handle the situation. Ultimately you will give account to God for what you did someday, and not for what the other person did. You need to do the right thing even when it’s the hardest thing in the world. You’re accountable for your actions and not of the other person who breaks your heart.”

But what about him I would ask and the answer is still the same, “you have to do the right thing, you will be accountable for your actions and not those he gives”. That’s one of the toughest lessons I’ve ever had to face.

What is the right thing? I cannot answer that, because if I did I would be doing the human thing. Thinking with my heart and not my mind. I know that God hates divorce. Malachi 2:6. And in 1 Corinthians 7:15 He gives us pardon for divorce. But there are rules.

All I can do is wait on God and pray that He will give me an answer. I do not want to go against His will for my life. After all He is the One who knows me better than I know myself. And He loves me in spite of my many faults.

So this is where I’m at. Do I leave or do I say? Do I trust God to make a way? Maybe change him? Am I willing to wait? Am I willing to love him even when he doesn’t deserve my love?

Praying to God to show me the way… Do I leave or do I stay???

Word for today 01 October 2014

Here is your word for today:

Verse:       Romans 13:12

‘The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.’

– There is always hope with God.
– We may think that the night season will never end.
– Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
– Nothing we face lasts forever and His light will arise on you.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the great reassurance that You bring into my life. I know that my season of breakthrough and rejoicing is around the corner. Amen.

Welcome to October.
Kind Regards

You are welcome to share this message…

Jeremiah 29:13 Seek me and you will find me if you seek me with all your heart…

I’ve been lost lately. Trying to find myself and setting some sort of direction. Almost like a run away train. And then the verse above keeps entering my mind and everywhere I go it seems to pop up in discussion or church. As if God is trying to tell me something.

And I get it!!

I should seek Him.

I know most of us have been through some sense of being lost in our lives. Lost because you’re not sure if you fit in. Lost because you don’t feel popular. Lost because your parents keep fighting. Lost because no matter what, no one seems to understand you. Lost because you feel far from God…

Lost in most cases is not just a word but a feeling tearing you apart from the inside.

My life is good, and God is my rock. The lost I’m feeling is something bigger, a much deeper sense I am unable to explain, but its what’s in my heart I’m finding hard to explain.

I need more of God. More of His presence. More and more of Him. Situations arise and I realize I just can not do this on my own. I never could…

And I fail… Oh how I fail.

Like today, I put out to organize myself as lately I just can’t seem to get anything done and I thought if I had everything organized it might help. But instead I went shopping with my cousin. We were looking for the right color sheets but couldn’t find any. We got sidetracked and then only got home really late.

Life is much the same. We want to focus on God but there is so much going on around you that you lose focus on the ultimate goal. Jesus… And then what happens?? We lose sight of our eternal home. We get lost somewhere along the way…

And then battle finding our way back home, because we feel lost!

God never left, you’re the one who walked away…

I read Job 22:21-30 and it brought to my attention once again that we have to humble ourselves to God on the throne. That we need to seek Him with all our hearts.. There is so much He can do for us if we live righteously.

I don’t know about you, but what I do know Is that I have this desire for God to be my all, have my all, and I want to live it all to His glory.

And then? My life will be full… And lost will only be a word…

My prayer for you… That whatever trials you may be facing you will grab hold of God, and you will come forth as gold. Job 23:10

Birthday resolution…

Another birthday, another year, another almost cold spring day…

Yesterday the 1st of September I turned 37 and wanted a new resolution to life and without much thought I decided to start celebrating life, friends and family, and the blessings we so easily take for granted. My cousin (Cake Boss in the making) even baked me a beautiful cake…

We only live once and we have a choice what our attitude is going to be on our journey. We can either miss every opportunity or strive to be the best we can be. I love the quote.. Do what you can with what you have where you are… Makes you think, doesn’t it!!

So when I woke up to the sound of birds singing I smiled. I went downstairs and made my children breakfast and sandwiches for school and I drove out of the driveway and the blossoms on the fruit trees are in full bloom, what a beautiful sight.

How many blessings do I have? More than I just mentioned.. But think about this, about what I just said and look at my blessings… We tend to forget how many bleSsings we have each day..

I can hear
I can see
I have food which I can share
I have been blessed with children
I have a family
I am loved
I have a car
I have a home and

And my day is not even done yet this is just the start of my morning…

And I realize how blessed I am. I want to celebrate life and count my blessings.

Think about this, if you count 10 blessings every day you will learn to see more of your blessings and be more grateful for what you have instead of complaining.

I want to live with a grateful heart, thanking God daily for all my blessings instead of complaining about what I do not have. And I want to start today…

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Hebrews 12:28 ESV
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,

Psalm 118:1-18 ESV
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.

Today my prayer for you is to count your blessings and see that the Lord your God is good to you and He has set you free.

Have a truly blessed evening.

Acts 16

– Acts 16 records a story of two main characters, Paul and Silas.
– They were travelling around the then known world bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to people of different groupings.
– They would go from place to place as the Holy Spirit led and guided them.
– Wherever they went people’s lives were touched and changed.
– As a result Christianity spread and grew. v5 ‘So the church grew daily in faith and numbers.’
– These were just ordinary people making a great difference in the world.
– God wants to use you and I in much the same way to touch the lives of others and in the process change and influence the world around us.
– Like these disciples, we are meant to be agents of change in the world in which we live.
– God can use us as we follow what He leads us to do.
– Sometimes in the business of life His leading can be drowned out by the urgent and pressing things we face.
– But if we take the time and if we will endeavor to hear what He tells us and take action on that, He will use us and our lives will be filled with purpose and meaning.

– We must never limit the way in which God can lead and guide us.
– There are many ways in which God can and will lead us.
– Sometimes it is through the inner sense or witness, as the Bible calls it. It is a sense of knowing deep within ourselves.
– Sometimes He can lead us through His Word, the Bible.
– Often times His Holy Spirit will come and lead and prompt us in a certain direction.
– But there are also other ways in which God can lead us.
– He could use other people to bring His instructions to us.
– He could speak to us through circumstances and challenges we may be facing.
– Here God spoke through a vision. v9 ‘That night Paul had a vision. In his dream he saw a man over in Macedonia, Greece, pleading with him, ‘Come over here and help us.’
– Most versions of the Bible refer to it as a vision, but most versions also refer to it as a vision in the night. Night visions are often referred to as dreams, so there is a good possibility that Paul saw this in a dream.
– In various places throughout the Bible God uses dreams to speak to people.
– I remember one day visiting a certain Pastor in another country. We had discussed certain challenges that I had been facing and before going to sleep he prayed and asked God to speak to me even while I slept and through dreams. I sometimes pray this over my own children when, on occasion,  I pray with them before going to sleep.
– The issue is that God wants to lead us and He uses different ways to do so.
– Our responsibility is to be sensitive to His leading and then to take action.

– v10 ‘Well, that settled it. We would go to Macedonia, for we could only conclude that God was sending us to preach the Good News there.’ (Living Bible)
– So we see how Paul gets this leading and direction from God and then he acts on it.
– Often we will hear the word of God, or sense His leading and prompting, but do we act on it, do we respond to it? Or does it get drowned out by all the other demands of life?
– Most versions of the Bible pick up on His immediate response.
– NIV: ‘After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia.’
– God’s Word Translation: ‘As soon as Paul had seen the vision, we immediately looked for a way to go to Macedonia.’
– KJV: ‘After he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia.’
– The Greek word used means immediately, straightway, at once and forthwith.
– Sometimes we lose the momentum of the moment when we hesitate or second guess ourselves and God’s leading.
– The truth is that it is worth taking the risk.
– To obey is better than sacrifice.
– This applies even if it entails effort.
– Paul and Silas had to catch a boat and travel for possibly two days or more to get to where God had shown them that He wanted them.
– Don’t allow the degree of difficulty to determine if you will obey God’s leading.

– Sometimes we imagine that if we are following God and in His will for our lives that everything will always go smoothly.
– The truth is that God will work everything out for our good, but opposition and challenges remain part of the deal.
– No sooner did they arrive in Macedonia, a demon-possessed slave girl who was also a fortune teller starts taunting them. This taunting goes on for days, until Paul could not take it anymore. He commands the demon to come out of her and she is instantly healed. As a result of this, Paul and Silas were dragged before judges, then they were stripped, beaten and thrown in prison. Imagine you are a guest in a town, and you are there to do good, but you end up accused, dragged around, stripped, beaten and thrown in prison……….. it’s enough to make most people leave the ministry.
– God used these bizarre circumstances to get Paul and Silas to where they needed to be so that they could meet the man they had seen in the vision who had been calling for help.
– The strange thing about Paul and Silas is that they end up in prison, wounded, with their feet in stocks and yet they could choose to rejoice.
– This remains for me one of the greatest testimonies.
– We too can go through a season where things are not working out for us while at the same time time we are serving God and in His will.
– It’s our response to the opposition that determines the next thing that will happen.
– In the midnight of your life, what will your response be?
– This is one of the wonderful things about being children of God. That circumstances do not need to dictate our state of mind and heart.
– v25 ‘Around midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to the Lord…..’

– As they pursued obedience to God, He already started using them in wonderful ways.
– The moment we elect to obey and follow the Lord, He immediately begins to use us.
– Lydia was the first result and the first convert and some commentators say that she was probably the first convert to the faith from the European part of the world. So there is the very real possibility that through this encounter the Gospel got into Europe and the rest is history.
– Then they find themselves in prison and God sends an earthquake to release them and all the other prisoners.
– This sets them up for a meeting with the jailer – the purpose of the whole trip.
– It’s hard to believe that all the challenges up until this point had brought them to the destiny moment that God had ordained.
– The jailer is armed and filled with fear and suicidal.
– We would hardly imagine this was a good time to tell him the Good News.
– But often, when people are at their lowest, it is the very thing they need.
– v29-30 The jailer then called for lights and the jailer brought them out of the dungeon and then the jailer asked the following: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
– Paul and Silas had the privilege of leading this man and his family to faith in Christ.
– Then an amazing thing happens, the jailer himself comes and washes their wounds.
– You never know who God will send across your path to wash your wounds and bring healing to your life.
– It did not stop there. At this hour of night the jailer makes them a meal and feeds them.
– As a family involved in ministry, I remember my father telling me that if we would care for and look after the people He entrusts to us, we would never lack and never go hungry.
– The grief and the trauma was replaced with rejoicing. v34 ‘How he (the jailer) and his household rejoiced because all were now believers!’

– In the end the judges, who had placed them in the prison, had to come down to the prison in person and beg Paul and Silas to leave the prison and the city.
– How sovereign God is in all things.
– v39 ‘So they (the judges) came to the jail and begged them to go, and brought them out and pled with them to leave the city!’
– God resolved the issues and they were able to leave.
– Basically Paul and Silas got off on a technicality. They happened to be Roman Citizens and should not have been treated in the way they had been.
– God, in His sovereignty, has a way of working things out.
– Perhaps you have been treated unfairly – God has a way of working things out.
– Perhaps you have faced injustice – God has a way of working things out.
– Paul and Silas had successfully fulfilled the plan and the purpose of God and God had taken care of all the details. As you endeavor to fulfill the plans and purposes of God for your life, He will take care of all the details.

Last week my friend phoned and I missed her call. I’ve been having trouble with my cellphone and only received a voice message. I called back and her first words were, “Did you feel that?”

I didn’t have a clue what she was talking about and she told me we had an earthquake of 5.5. I was shocked. It was felt all over our country and people were in shock. My husband and I were on the road when it happened (that’s why we didn’t really take note). We stopped at a red light and we felt the vehicle shaking.
We thought there was something wrong with the vehicle. But it stopped moments later and we looked at each other and just left it at that.

After she phoned I called my mom to make sure they were okay. She said that the house trembled and things fell down. The corner wall in the living room also cracked from top to bottom. But they were safe. My children felt it at school but weren’t alarmed. Blessed be that their teachers kept them calm.

When things happen out of our control we tend to turn and run. That is what my friend and her family did when they felt their whole house shaking. They ran outside because they weren’t sure of how bad the house would get and that it would be safer out on the open. Praise God they are all safe as well as the rest of my family and friends, I am eternally grateful.

In moments like these I know that the only safe place is outside.

But what about His presence? It’s the only safe place you will ever be. And when things go wrong as they sometimes do He will never let you down. He is your fortress. Proverbs 18:10 NIV says: The name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous man runs into it and is safe

We are safe by His side and in His hand. Sleep well, knowing that He watches over you and loves you!!

Joshua 1:9
Psalm 9:10
Psalm 31:14
Psalm 56:3
Proverbs 3:5

I heard myself scream, shouting to God. “No God!!”

Up to this moment not remembering anything about the shouting prayer I gave just yesterday… But what I do remember is that everything that happened played off in slow motion in front of me and all I could do was watch…
My cousin had to move her furniture into storage, my husband and I offered to help. We both had a trailer hooked on the back of our vehicles.

The trailers were heavy and driving fast was no option, so we slowly made our way to storage. They (my cousin and her husband) were driving in front of us when I heard my husband say, “No Brent, no.”
I looked up and saw the trailer jacknife. The car and trailer moving over both the lanes. It was like a scissor opening and closing. My husband moving to the middle of the road to keep the other traffic on the highway from passing us. The trailer coming from one side and hitting their vehicle on the other side. It was side to side… I yelled out to God.

I knew that I was incapable of helping her in any way. I was helpless… All I could do is pray to God.

I felt like even my mind was in slow motion and it took me a while to kick into prayer. And my prayers sounded like screams of terror!!! Not caring about what the people in our vehicle thought all I could do was make my requests known to God, and nothing else mattered.

In my mind’s eye, I waited for their vehicle to flip, that was all that was left for it to do. At the force of every blow it took, it was inevitable, or so I thought.

But it moved (kind of like someone pulling it onto the side of the road) and that is where it stopped. “Oh God, I cried!!” They were safe!!

It was like He sent angels to keep the car on the ground and just move it safely to the side of the road.

I couldn’t get out of the car fast enough. I ran to my cousin, opened her door and just held her. She cried and I cried. God saved them. He saved them. My cousin is safe. I couldn’t thank God enough. This was truly a miracle.

I am so grateful, my heart is overwhelmed. It could have ended so differently.
I want you to know that I serve a God capable of anything. He is my God and He is faithful. He has proven once again that with Him all things are possible.

I was expecting the car to be towed. My husband and cousin left in our vehicle to the storage. My cousin’s husband pulled the vehicle in alignment with the trailer. It pulled at the bumper and tore it. But it was still attached, then he pulled it straight and we (me and him) made our way to the storage. Double miracle. The car is banged on the side, but Thank God, still driving.

I want you to know that God will never let you down, no matter how bleak the situation may seem. God is in the midst of it. And He is faithful. Just call out to Him, He is listening. He will restore you in the midst of the darkness. I challenge you to trust Him.

May God be your prayer, now and always!!

Thought for today-Pastor Andrew Roebert

Ephesians 1:17-23 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.

– Ephesians 1:18-19 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
– The eyes of our hearts need to be enlightened.
– We can see things with our eyes, but there is another dimension!
– We can also ‘see things with our hearts’.
– Seeing things with our eyes simply takes looking, but seeing things with our hearts takes revelation.
– Some things we can understand simply by applying rational knowledge and thought.
– Others need to come through the eyes of our heart being enlightened.
– We can have an open mind but a blinded heart.
– Perhaps this was what Thomas of the New Testament suffered with. He could only believe things that he could see with his physical eyes and things he could touch with his physical hands.
– Earthly wisdom is something to be desired and pursued, but Heavenly wisdom is another dimension that God wants us to experience.
– God wants to illuminate and bring to light aspects of His character and heart that we could never have begun to conceive or fully understand.
– We serve a great God and His greatness is such that it would ‘blow our minds’ if we could catch a glimpse of it with the eyes of our hearts.
– Only then will we understand what the ‘hope of His calling’ is, what the ‘riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints’ is and what ‘the surpassing greatness of His power towards us who believe’ is!

– Absolute Sovereignty – His rule and authority is not restricted by anything.
– A country may have sovereignty within its constitution. But God has absolute sovereignty!
– Mankind cannot grasp this concept.
– The subject of sovereignty is controversial and the concept of absolute sovereignty even more so.
– It is a fact that this concept, from the moment when it was introduced until the present day, has never had a meaning which was universally agreed upon.
– This is because it is a concept that is difficult for us to understand.
– This is primarily due to the fact that no human being can ever actually enjoy such a thing.
– In one way or another we are subject to many constraints.
– Parents may think they have sovereignty in how they raise their children, but they don’t.
– The Municipality may think it has sovereignty in local matters, but it does not.
– God, on the other hand, knows no such constraints.
– God has unlimited and unrestricted power.
– He enjoys independent authority.
– He has the right to rule and reign over His creation.

1. He is all-knowing
– If there was an iota of knowledge that God did not have, He would not be sovereign.
– If something could take place without His knowledge, He would not be sovereign.
– But we know that He knows ALL things and nothing is hidden from His sight.
2. He is all-powerful
– If there is something that God could do nothing about, He would not be sovereign.
– If there was something too great for God to handle, He would not be sovereign.
– But we know that nothing is too difficult for God.
3. He is utterly free
– Nothing and no one can hinder God from what He wills or desires to do.
– He can do just as He pleases now and for eternity.
– He does not need the permission of anyone to act.
– He is free to carry out His eternal plans.
– In His sovereignty He has given to mankind the gift of a free will.
– It can be compared to a great ship on a great ocean. The direction and speed of the ship is set by a higher authority. It knows where it is going and it is going to get there. But on board this ship we have freedom to choose how we will live and what we will do. We can do nothing to get this ship to change course. We can only hope that we will live in such a way that when this ship finally reaches the destination that we have made the right choices and that we will not be found wanting.
– In His hand is the soul of every living thing.
– Psalm 31:15 ‘My times are in Your hands!’
– This is a picture of the sovereignty of God.
– Ephesians 1:21 Far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

– We need a revelation of this to be able to begin to grasp what it means.
– The Prophet Daniel  had such a revelation and we can see it in the things he said.
– Daniel 2:20-23 “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.”
– We need more than just ‘lumen siccum’ but ‘lumen madidum’.
– ‘Lumen Siccum’ speaks of basic ‘dry illumination’ but ‘Lumen Madidum’ speaks of an illumination that is heavy or drenched and soaked with understanding – revelation!
– Knowledge calls for movement  of the mind but revelation calls for movement of the heart.
– I pray that your heart will be moved, that there will be a movement within your own heart and that as a result you will begin to see God in a different light, and in a new dimension.
– I pray that He will come and melt away every resistance to such revelation.
– I pray that He will captivate your heart with His greatness and sovereignty.
– May He come right now and breathe upon you and may your spirit be open and receptive to the things He wants you to know and understand.

– There is another dimension to the sovereignty of God.
– He wants to come and fill everything in every way.
– Ephesians 1:23 ‘the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way!’
– The picture that this created in my mind has so inspired and filled me.
– The empty silo can be filled with grain.
– The empty honeycomb can be filled with honey.
– The empty vessel can be filled with the glory of God.
– The empty cistern can once again be filled with water.
– The place of darkness can be filled and flooded with light.
– The tank can once again be full.
– He fills the oceans with water.
– He fills the sky with stars.
– See Him filling you out of the infinite store of heaven.
– He will come and fill every space that we give Him.
– If you give Him the space of your life, He will come and fill it completely.
– If you will give Him your family, He will come and fill them.
– It speaks of overflowing abundance.
– You and I were designed to be filled.
– You and I were designed to be filled in every possible way.
– Not just a touch, or a taste only, but filled with everything in every way.
– Why would we settle for anything less?
– Why would you instead be filled with anger and sadness, frustration and stress?
– Let’s rid our lives of the garbage and let Him come in all His sovereignty and fill us completely with everything He has for us.

– Is it any wonder that the hymn writer wrote: ‘I surrender all, all to Jesus I surrender, I surrender all!’
– When we grasp what His sovereignty means we can rest in it.
– It can give us the complete confidence we so long to experience and enjoy.
– We can stop worrying and we can start enjoying the ride.
– We can receive His authority and drop the unbelief.
– Once this is established in our hearts we can realize that whoever is on God’s side is on the winning side and cannot lose and whoever is on the other side is on the losing side and cannot win. We can choose the side, but not the end result.
– That, my friends, is the sovereignty of God.
– In His sovereignty, God has determined that all who willingly commit themselves to His Son, Jesus Christ, will receive eternal life and become a son and a daughter of God.
– It’s as simple as that.
– Let our lives be an act of surrender to the One who knows all things, is all powerful and operates in complete freedom and yet wants to come and fill us in every way with everything!

We made some memories over the weekend. My mom never wants photos taken of her because of many reasons, (like age creeping in and wrinkles showing) and especially not in her pj’s. But this time she allowed me to take photos while she was making waffles and was still in her gown. I convinced her it was about making memories and not about what she looked like.

I mean, when you look back at life what is going to stand out for you? That your parents looked old and wrinkled or that they made time and had fun with their grandkids. I’m sure they will always remember these moments. Many of us miss. Those moments because of us being worried about stuff that don’t matter at all.

My kids (still in their pj’s too) helped out and just loved this time with their gran. They all had flour on their faces and actually smeared each other with it.

My sister in-laws’ son also joined in the fun and then they got hold of me and I got some flour too.

These are precious moments I will always treasure. I am so grateful. I think that is just one of the reasons I became a photographer. To make time stand still if only for a little while so you can look back and remember those memories shared.

I’m sharing the recipe with you and praying for you to make some memories of your own that you will treasure forever.

Today is the start of a new month so get out there and make some great memories have fun making breakfast with your kids, enjoy breakfast without regrets. Love those God gave you, they are a precious gift.

Technical what??

Where were the days of no frustrations? I mean, ever since we’ve gotten so advanced in technology we’ve been more frustrated and aggravated that when there was none. You don’t see anyone without a cellphone just in case someone was to call you urgently. Think about it!

Like this whole week for example.. things went okay for a while until I’m updating my facebook (photography) page on my laptop, it won’t post my photos there’s something wrong which started aggravating me and it kept giving me a popup, I then picked up my tablet to work on that but it wouldn’t connect to the internet for some unknown reason, then I loaded the photos to my cell phone and guess what? My cell phone shuts down.

Really??? Technology is supposed to make life easier, right? I mean I’m using it correctly, but why is it giving in? Well?

Life is much the same. We get aggravated and frustrated at life and what happens around us. But in this case we have a proper manual that refers to all we need to fix our lives. The bible which is our manual, and our fixer which is Jesus.

If we don’t bother reading our bible, Jesus can’t fix our problems. He has so many promises in there and we should stand on every one of them. Your laptop, email, cellphone and tablet are sure to let you down especially when you need to get some work done. But Jesus never will. He will sustain your every need.

Well, before all this technology there was people that knew more than we can ever imagine. And they are from the bible. Before scientists found proof and before we really knew, Job knew a bit more than we did and well, I would like to share two verses with you which I find incredible (I shared them with my kids and they were like “wow”):

Job 26:7 (You can read from verse one, it really is cool)
Ecclesiastes 1:7

I think that before of all this time and energy put into technical stuff, people spent more time with God. And they had better relationships with their Savior. How else would they know the things that have been hidden to us for so many years? Scientists have only learned some of it in the past decade. The bible is really interesting and the more you read it, the more you will want to.

I think that should be our goal. To have an exceptional relationship with our God even if we don’t get to know things before others do.

Before I challenged you to have faith. Today I challenge you to spend more time with God. I think it is so worth it. Everything else seems so small when you compare it to Him. After all, He is the maker of it all, so He knows what we need before we do.

Have a blessed day sweet people!!!
